Guys are always asking me how do I get more matches on Tinder?
After all, there are MILLIONS of women out there on Tinder, but if you’re not matching with them, you might as well not even waste your time.
And chances are if you are reading this, you haven’t found her yet. So how can you stop wasting your time and start getting more matches on Tinder?
The app itself is great, it’s super easy to use and with over 50 million active users, it can connect you with tons of beautiful women you might never meet in your day to day life. But at the same time this can be frustrating. You see someone you like right in front of you, but you can’t even say “HI” unless they like you back, and create ‘match’ with you.
Leaving you to swipe and swipe and swipe without getting the results you want.
And to make matters worse, when you do get a match they aren’t always with the women you REALLY wanted to be matched with in the first place. It’s usually either the profiles you accidentally swiped right on, or the girls you don’t have that much interest in.
What can you do about this to get more matches on Tinder?
In dating, and in life your first impression is important, but with online dating apps your first impression it is critical. It will literally make or break the success of your profile, and determine whether you get more matches on Tinder.
Women on the app spend very little time breaking down and dissecting your profile. It’s probably more like rapid fire where they are just flinging profiles to the left, until they see something that really interests them.
So whatever they see in your first picture is likely going to determine whether they will stop and go a little deeper, or just swipe left and move on.
In most cases, this is the reason guys aren’t getting more matches on Tinder. They’re first picture doesn’t stand out.
It sounds harsh but think of all the other distractions in their life, they aren’t going to give you very much time before they swipe and move on to whoever is waiting behind you.
She probably won’t ever get that far into your profile, so at first it doesn’t matter how funny or clever your bio is, or how cool the rest of your photos are if the first picture isn’t at least intriguing enough for her to stop and take a second look.
Here’s a great video on how to make your Tinder profile picture really stand out.
How do I get her to notice me?
You don’t have to be the best looking guy (it helps, sure), or have the coolest lifestyle (again, it helps) but it does mean you have to pick a profile picture that highlights your best features, whatever they may be. Everyone has at least a couple good features trust me.
Don’t have any pictures? Set up a photo shoot. Get some pictures done that will highlight the features you identified and then test for the ones that work the best.
How do you test? There are couple ways.
Apps like Tinder and Bumble have a (free) feature that will move the picture with the best conversion rate to the front of your profile.
Or you can do it the old fashioned way, and ask for help from a female friend. See what they think a good picture of you is, and then move that to the front of your profile.
After all this, if you still think you could be getting more matches switch things up, keep testing it and you’ll find something that works.
But …you already might not be doing as bad as you think.
A good conversion rate on Tinder is considered to be 2%. That’s to say that for every 100 right swipes you get TWO MATCHES.
Yep that’s it. If you’re in that range you might already be doing better than you thought.
So remember to make sure you put your best picture forward, and that you might already be doing better than you think.
